Twin Cities authors Will Alexander and Kelly Barnhill will be autographing.

Will's new book (in stock now): Ambassador, a science fiction novel for ages 8 and up. He is also the author of fantasy novel Goblin Secrets (winner for the 2012 National Book Award for Young People's Literature) and its companion novel Ghoulish Song (finalist for the 2014 Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Children's Literature).

Kelly's new book (in stock now): The Witch's Boy, a fantasy novel for ages 10 and up. She is also the author of Iron Hearted Violet (finalist for the 2012 Andre Norton Award for Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy) and The Mostly True Story of Jack, a fantasy novel for ages 8 and up set in Iowa.

The Thing From Another World is being presented by The Friends of the Cemetery, in partnership with The Trylon Microcinema and All-Star Productions. Proceeds will support the Friends of the Cemetery's restoration of the cemetery fence along Lake Street and Cedar Avenue.

Pioneers and Soldiers Memorial Cemetery, 2925 Cedar Avenue, Minneapolis, MN
Wednesday, October 8 (Rain date: Wednesday, October 15)
Gates open at 5:30pm, showtime is dusk (approximately 7:00pm)

Tickets: $8 for adults, children 12 and under free (donations also gladly accepted)
Tickets can be purchased at the gate (cash only), or using a credit card online at Brown Paper Ticket http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/853049 (there is a service fee for online tickets)

Come early to experience the historic cemetery and a smart-phone history hunt.

Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. The area immediately in front of the stage will be a chair-free zone.

Taco Taxi food truck will sell refreshments during the event. No coolers or alcoholic beverages, pets or videotaping allowed.

We encourage using public transportation, or walking or biking to the event. Bike parking will be available within the cemetery. On-street parking is available. No general parking inside the cemetery; some accessible parking will be available. The Lake Street light rail stop is a short walk from the cemetery, and it is convenient to several bus routes.
